Cost Allocation and Rate Design Studies

We developed Excel based models in support of cost allocation studies and rate design applications submitted to the Public Utility Commissions of Texas, Montana, and North Dakota.

We have also provided our expertise to the B.C. Utilities Commission and reviewed a number of gas and electric rate design applications.

Regulatory facilities application and rate design related to the trucking of compressed natural gas to meet peak day requirements of a gas distribution utility.

Draft regulatory facilities application and cost of service modeling for a proposed LNG-driven pipeline expansion.

We provided expertise to the B.C. Utilities Commission in this proceeding.

Jurisdictional Review of Natural Gas Storage and Transportation Access Rules
We provided research assistance to Concentric Energy Advisors in the STAR initiative of the Ontario Energy Board.

Power Contract Dispute
We advised the B.C. Utilities Commission on its consideration of a contractual dispute between an independent power producer and a utility (G-188-11).

Land Matters Consultation Initiative (National Energy Board)
We provided research and analysis and provided project management related to the completion of a pipeline abandonment cost study filed with the National Energy Board.

Capacity Building (IUABAT, Dhaka, Bangladesh)
We gave a seminar on rate making principles at a technical university in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
